The challenge
Three problems most service businesses meet early. We met all of them, and none was about the quality of the work.
Being found
With no brand or track record, the right buyers had no reason to find us.
Being trusted
Our clients were overseas, choosing a team they would never meet, in another time zone.
Being sustainable
One-off projects meant revenue reset every month.

What we did
Five decisions shaped the business. Each one was about focus: who to serve, how to reach them, and what to stop doing.
We started from demand, not promotion
Rather than broadcasting to everyone, we focused on people who already needed what we did and were actively looking for it. Reaching buyers at the moment of need cost less and converted far better than general awareness.
We chose which clients to build around
Not every client is equally valuable. We gave priority to businesses with ongoing design and development needs, and structured our offer around long-term working relationships rather than single projects.
We made it easy to say yes
For an overseas buyer, the decision is mostly about risk. Clear proposals, a simple first step and a website built to answer questions before they were asked all lowered that risk.
We measured, and let go of what didn’t work
Every opportunity was tracked. Some channels drew interest but few real conversations, and we stopped investing in them. Budget and time went where the evidence pointed.
We treated delivery as part of marketing
Regular updates and clear communication meant clients never had to chase us. Those relationships brought repeat work and referrals, the lowest-cost growth a business can have.

The outcome
A studio with a steady flow of the right clients.
- The founding team grew into a full studio across Pakistan and Belgium within its first year.
- Clients across the United States and Europe, many working with us long-term.
- Revenue built on ongoing relationships instead of one-off projects.
- Repeat work and referrals from clients who stayed.

What I learned
Growth was rarely about doing more marketing. It came from being clear about who we served, meeting them when they needed help, and earning enough trust that they stayed.
I also learned that most early mistakes come from spending before measuring.
How this shapes my work today
I bring the same approach to every Google Ads account I manage.
- Understand the business and the customer worth winning.
- Focus spend on real buying intent.
- Fix the path to conversion before adding traffic.
- Scale only what the data supports.
